Neoyorquinos, locos, audaces y sin miedo a abrir los abismos de la música…creo que estos adjetivos definen a este dueto de ánimas nocturnas que comparten un amor por el cine y la música subterránea, ambos universos fluyen en una vena enferma y depravada que harán que tus cejas se levanten, este par de mentes creativas no solo comparten esta pasión, están involucrados sentimentalmente, vienen trabajando juntos por más de una década y han decidido llevar esta complicidad al plano de la creación, ya como banda ellos se hacen llamar, “The NecroVomits”, y el nombre no solo te dice la intención y la vibra que manejan, tejen su propia red de repulsión para rendir culto al subterráneo en un muy singular estilo.
El concepto me pareció atractivo y hasta divertido y me di a la tarea de indagar un poco más y me encontré que la banda se metio al estudio a grabar la noche de Halloween de 2024 y se aventuraron a grabar su primer track, titulado, “Vomito Macabro”, esto los llevo a seguir componiendo hasta lograr la realización de lo que vendría a ser su primer Ep.
Dicho esto, ya con su primera grabación de corte oficial bajo el título, "Ghoulish Grotesqueries" recién lanzado en el mes de marzo de 2025 lo que encontré en este Ep tiene cosas muy rescatables y dignas de mencionar, aquí te doy el detalle…
Con un sonido sucio (posiblemente de forma intencional) que te transporta a esas grabaciones de corte casero y bien under, con pocos recursos, pero bastante decente y tocado con garra y espíritu necrótico como para apreciar lo que se despliega en ejecución, guitarras, vocales, concepto, la banda se mueve libre, sin pretensiones, ni florituras finas, ni adornos complejos, sin ataduras vaya, expresando lo que sus retorcidas almas les exigen.
Los tracks están repletos de ese sentimiento creativo, indómito y retorcido, de una frescura que ya no se percibe en muchas producciones de “alta gama” estos dias y quizás ahí es donde radica la magia de The NecroVomits, arropados por esa aura Halloween-esca y desmadrosa, nos entregan temas cargados de ganas, de intención de romper con todo, la forma en como complementan y dan toques precisos a los temas con esos efectos de teclado le agregan una deliciosa dosis de terror y locura, encontraras algunos versos cantados en Español y en ese mismo plano las vocales de Laurel Sinestrari se escuchan oscuras y siniestras.
Para mi gusto, el tema mejor trabajado y que me hizo inclinarme a escuchar este Ep fue, “Vomito Macabro”, riffs enganchadores, potentes y ese juego dual de vocales de ultratumba (con efecto), y ni qué decir del solo que suena incendiario, enfermo y desestabilizador, destacan también tracks como, “Congratulations, You’re Cheese” y “Hooked on Video”, “El Cementerio en la Concina” es un corte que te hará recordar esas viejas películas de zombis de bajo presupuesto.
La banda se apoya en el uso de una especie de caja de ritmos o batería programada que, aunque no tiene la presencia o contundencia saca adelante los tracks, ojalá consideren invitar a algún baterista en el futuro pues estos cortes ameritan un nivel arriba en el departamento de la contundencia.
Si estas preguntándote en que vena encajan estos hermanos de “The NecroVomit”, te dire que juegan con algunos riffs thrasheros, algunos destellos de death metal aderezados de chispazos de terror sónico y elementos de shock que con esa garra que le imprimen te conquistan el oído.
En conclusión, no los juzgo por no tener el mejor sonido, ni múltiples recursos ni altos presupuestos para sacar su música pero vaya, tocan con ese abandono y con ese ímpetu que enamora y te recuerda lo que significa la música enferma, disonante, subterránea, que no le rinde cuentas a nada ni a nadie.
Así que, si te animas, regálate la oportunidad de escuchar este Ep, la banda comenta que se les puede ver rondando las tumbas de algunos cementerios a la media noche, si eres de los afortunados en toparte a este dúo dinámico, salúdalos ya que con este gesto ellos estarán dispuestos a regalarte una presentación en vivo en el patio de tu casa, ya me caen bien y seria genial beber unas cervezas con ellos después de algún show.

New Yorkers, crazy, bold and unafraid to open the abyss of music... i think these adjectives define this duo of nocturnal souls who share a love for cinema and underground music, both universes flow in a sick and depraved vein that will make your eyebrows raise, this pair of creative minds not only share this passion, they are involved sentimentally, they have been working together for more than a decade and have decided to take this complicity to the plan of creation, as a band they call themselves, "The NecroVomits", and the name not only tells you the intention and vibe they handle, weave their own repulsion net for worship the underground in a very unique style.
I found the concept attractive and even fun and I gave the task of investigating a little more and found that the band got into the studio to record the night of Halloween of 2024 and ventured to record their first track, titled, "Macabro Vomit", this the I keep composing until I achieve the realization of what would be his first Ep.
With that being said, already with its first official cut recording under the title, "Ghoulish Grotesqueries" just released in March 2025 what I found on this Ep has some very salvageable and worthy of mentioning, here I give you the breakdown...
With a filthy sound (possibly intentionally) that transports you to those home-cut recordings and well under, with few resources, but quite decent and played with claw and necrotic spirit to appreciate what unfolds in execution, guitars, vocals, concept, the band moves freely, no pretensions, no fine floss, no complex embellishments, no strings attached, expressing what their twisted souls demand.
The tracks are filled with that creative feeling, indomitable and twisted, of a freshness that is no longer perceived in many "high-end" productions these days and maybe that's where the magic of The NecroVomits lies, tucked in by that Halloween-bait and rampage aura, deliver us loaded topics of desire, intention to break with everything, the way they complement and give precise touches to the topics with those keyboard effects add a delicious dose of terror and madness, find some verses sung in Spanish and in that same plane the vocals of Laurel Sinestrari are they listen dark and sinister.
For my taste, the most worked theme and that made me lean to listen to this Ep was, "Macabro Vomit", catchy, powerful riffs and that dual play of ultratomb vocals (with effect), and not to say of the only that sounds incendiary, sick and destabilizing, also highlight tracks like, "Congratulations, You're Cheese” and “Hooked on Video”, “The Cemetery in the Basement” is a cut that will make you remember those old low-budget zombie movies.
The band relies on the use of a kind of rhythm box or programmed drums that, although it does not have the presence or force, brings forward the tracks, hopefully consider inviting some drummer in the future as these cuts deserve a level up in the department of the blunt.
If you're wondering what vein these brothers from "The NecroVomit" fit into, I'll tell you that they play with some thrasher riffs, some sparks of death metal adapting to sparks of sonic terror and elements of shock that with that claw they imprint on will conquer your ear.
In conclusion, I don't judge them for not having the best sound, nor multiple resources or high budgets to get their music out but wow, they play with that abandon and with that impetus that falls in love and reminds you what sick, dissonant, underground music means, not accountable to nothing or to anyone.
So, if you dare, give yourself the chance to listen to this Ep, the band comments that you can see them circling the graves of some cemeteries at midnight, if you are one of the lucky ones to come across this dynamic duo, greet them as with this gesture they will be willing to give you a live performance in your backyard, I already like them and it would be great to have a few beers with them after a show.
